How to submit
To be considered, you must submit to the outlined regulation stated:
VISUAL & AUDIO SUBMISSIONS

3-5 standalone pieces of work

Up to 40 minutes of a video piece/audio piece
WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS

1 completed project (up to 30 pages / max 5,000 word extract)

3-5 standalone pieces (up to 30 pages or prose / max 5,000 word extract)
The last thing THE HERON TOOK FLIGHT wants is to limit artists.
The submission process is for ease of admin.

We urge every conversation to be a back and forth natural flow, rather than written answers and questions. At this time, we only have English speakers on our team, but we do not want this to limit our audiences and submissions. We understand a conversational interview is not possible for everyone, please contact theherontookflight@gmail.com so we can accommodate for your needs.
After your submission has been considered, you will be sent a Welcome Pack and Consent Form.
All parts of the Welcome Pack must be completed in order to proceed and Consent Forms must be signed.
A date and time will be arranged to have an online interview.
The audio from this interview will be recorded and transcribed, best to reflect your intentions and original meanings.
As little changes as possible will be made to the transcription but restructuring and editing the conversation is crucial to the journalistic and publishing process.
